Warhammer 40K: Darktide just got a old new update, Secrets of the Machine God that adds new weapons, hotfixes, and more.

A big new update just dropped for Warhammer 40K: Darktide. The co-op shooter is about to give all glory to the Omnissiah in Secrets of the Machine God, available to all players as of today.

In the new update, you’ll find all sorts of wonderful toys. New weapons. A new mission and in-game event. And that’s just the new stuff. There’s a ton of tweaks, fixes, and more besides. What all can you expect, though? Well let’s take a look.

40K Darktide: Secrets of the Machine God – War Picks, Shock Mauls, and More

The new mission, Clandestium Gloriana (previously mentioned as Atelium Foundryplex Omega V), sees our brave strike teams venture deep into the forgotten heart of Tertium for a rendezvous with a mysterious new character. The players are tasked with reawakening a long-dormant Adeptus Mechanicus Foundryplex, one of the fabled, lost Machinaria Gloriana. This level presents a new, frozen environment, sees a mission-giver accompany the strike team within the gameplay space and supports greater replayability with a new, variable end event. We’re delighted with how it’s turned out and we hope you’ll enjoy playing it as much as we did making it!

That’s right. In Secrets of the Machine God, you are delving deep into a dormant Adeptus Mechanics ruin. I’m sure nothing bad will come of that. The flesh might be weak, but, how weak, really? But new dangers means new toys. And that’s something everyone can get excited about.

As you delve into the Foundryplex, you’ll have new weapons to try out. There’s the Pickaxe, available to Ogryns, and the double-barreled shotgun, bolt pistol, and shock maul, for the veteran, psyker, and zealot. All of which means there’s plenty to play with.

But there’s more than just weapons and new incentives to kill with said new weapons in this patch. For a full list of notes, click here. But otherwise, time to head back to Tertium, Bolt Pistol in hand.

Or, you know, whatever weapon you fancy.
