Warhammer: TOMY Plushies Arrive With A Sneak Attack of Cuteness
TOMY and Games Workshop have teamed-up once again to bring another way for adorable grimdark plushies to the fans.
Okay, I didn’t think I’d want a plushie Purple Sun of Shyish. But now that I’ve seen it, I kind of want one…if for nothing else to make my opponent feel a little better when I use that spell on their army. That’s just one of the cuteness overloaded plushies coming from TOMY and Games Workshop. Let’s go through them.
“With the upcoming release of the Gryph-hound plush from international toy company TOMY, the final member of the first confusingly cute quartet of Warhammer plush toys will set off into the wild – just in time for an announcement of five brand new ones.”
TOMY Warhammer Plushies
First up we have Watcher in the Dark. These little guys are mostly seen on The Rock of the Dark Angels and occasionally will accompany one of their heroes on a base. They are such good little helpers with their very soft looking robes. This guy is rocking some little power armor booties and is carrying a winged helm as well. What secret is he hiding? How to stay so darn cute!
I didn’t think I’d want to hug a ripper but when they look that cuddly it’s hard not to. What’s that little guy? I look like tasty biomass? I’m sure I do because you are just too soft not to give a big hug to!
Uh oh, looks like the Nurgling is back. I just want to point out that WarCom described this one as “Sassy Nurgling” and yeah…I can see it. Gotta love the helmet that he’s wearing and at least this one doesn’t have any visible intestines to show off. Probably a little better suited for the kids this time around.
I’m not going to lie, if my opponent brought one of these in their list I wouldn’t even be mad about it this time. Sure, sure it’s technically bad for me but so is too much sugar. Both this Purple Sun and too much sugar are just sweetness overload!
Who’s the best helper? Why this plushie servo-skull, that’s who! Man, I was just thinking it would be awesome if this had a hidden pocket for an external hard drive. It would be amazing to actually plug this into a laptop or PC and it “function” as more than just a super cute detached skull filled with electronics. You know, when I spell it out like that it doesn’t sound as cute…but c’mon! You can’t tell me you wouldn’t like that on your desk.
