In an effort to ensure that all is fair in galactic conquest, the Warhammer Studio also released the Pariah Nexus Companion, a free download containing FAQs, errata, maps, tournament support, and more.”

So what exactly is this document for? It’s for use with the Pariah Nexus Mission Deck. There’s a few different parts to it but it’s designed to help pretty much anyone using the deck to ensure a smooth experience. First up, it’s got the Mission Sequence reiterated so you can follow along with the new deck if you’re a little fuzzy on the steps. It’s also got some recommended pairings if you’re looking to dive right in.
After that is the Card Errata. This is going to be the most widespread feature in the document. Additionally, as the season progresses, this is where any future updates will be — so this document will likely get updates and new versions, too.
There is also the Pariah Nexus Mission Deck FAQ included to help clear up any questions you might have about the cards. Following those clarifications we also get into the Tournament Mission Pool. This is a table that helps with tournament setup and missions to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Pariah Nexus Tournament Info and Tips
Further in the document there’s recommended terrain maps you can use with the missions to ensure everyone is (once again) on the same playing field.
In total there are 8 terrain layouts to use. I find these generically useful for gaming or table setup. They help keep things (somewhat) symmetrical for your table.
After the Terrain section there’s also a section dedicated to Pairings and Rankings. If you’re running a tournament this is great info to check out. If nothing else, it will give you some ideas for your next run at things.
And finally there’s an Afterword from the studio that I think is absolutely worth a read from everyone.
Honestly, this should have been at the front. Regardless, I’m really glad GW put this section in here. It’s good to remember those two things and I know at the end of a long tournament it can hard to remember them. At the end of the day it’s still a game we play with other people who also enjoy it.
