There’s another Primarch coming from the Warhammer X JOYTOY partnership. Magnus The Red is coming from the Horus Heresy!

Well I think it’s safe to say they’ve done it again. Magnus The Red is joining the ranks of Dorn, Russ Horus, and Abaddon as epic action figures from JOYTOY. Check out the Primarch of the Thousand Sons in all his magic-wielding glory.

via Warhammer Community

“It’s Magnus the Red, standing 26.2cm tall to the tip of his horns (that’s taller even than Horus) and dripping with arcane finery. Every detail from his phenomenal resin miniature has been faithfully recreated, down to the swirling magical effects that can be attached shooting from his hands or wrapping around his giant Blade of Ahn-nunurta.”

Magnus The Red – JOYTOY Action Figure

This figure is really impressive as it’s a faithful recreation of the resin miniature but as an action figure. They even copied the magical effects shooting from his hands. Seriously, look at these details:

Now, as a comparison, check out the Forge World resin miniature:

While the paint jobs are different, the action figure looks real close. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could recreate this same pose from the resin with the action figure.

More Thousand Sons

Now, Magnus The Red isn’t the only Horus Heresy Era Thousand Son coming from JOYTOY either. There’s a trio of helpful “friends” to accompany their Primarch.

Magistus Amon

“Magistus Amon served as his Primarch’s equerry throughout the Great Crusade and is even rumoured to have been the young Magnus’ tutor before his reunion with the Emperor, but despite his great fame he remained a mysterious and solitary figure.”

Again, I like the details on this one. The paint job isn’t quite as fancy as miniature paint jobs can get but it’s not bad! In particular I like the details on the cape, too.

Azhek Ahriman

You know, it just wouldn’t feel like a propper Horus Heresy release for the Thousand Sons if Ahriman wasn’t there to accompany his Primarch. So I’m glad JOYTOY got to make this one, too. And once again, this one looks like it’s captured a lot of the same details from the miniature.

Praetor of the XV Legion

And finally we get a “generic” Praetor of the XV Legion. While this could just be a faceless Praetor, I still want to give this Terminator a nod with all that bling he’s rocking. He’s still got the Achaean Power Weapon that the Horus Heresy era Thousand Sons were known for, too.

If you want to snag any of these figures they are currently up for Pre-Order from the Warhammer Merch store.
